Basic Skills
Life skills are abilities and behaviors that help you effectively deal with the events and challenges of everyday life. They are the skills that allow you to handle everything from interactions with others to identifying and processing your emotions. In our One Life Class we cover 7 core life skills, creative thinking, and soft skills training. Those skills consist of mentality, communication, time management, conflict resolution, self awareness, goal setting, and decision making.
Career Interest & Planning
Career planning is the ongoing process where you: Explore your interests and abilities; Strategically plan your career goals; and. Create your future work success by designing learning and action plans to help you achieve your goals. The intermediate stage is designed to give each student supervised doses of the world so that they can make an informed decision about college or the workforce.
Workforce Development
Workforce development is defined as a combination of social services, community supports, job training and education that positions an individual for success in the workforce. In this final stage we focus on job searching, talent development, exploring deficits, resume building, and job coaching.
